Born in Lausanne, Switzerland, Magali Bergher grew up speaking French as her native language. Her family moved to Los Angeles. She attended UCLA, where she majored in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. She received her real estate license in 1989 and her real estate broker license in 1993. My wife and I were extremely apprehensive about purchasing our first home in the Fall of 2021 at the height of the coronavirus pandemic. I was referred to Magali by a colleague who had worked with her a few years ago. When I reached out to her, we discussed – among other things – the benefit to get me fully pre-approved so that I could compete in this very competitive market. She put me in touch with a very helpful lender who made the process quite easy and painless.
I wrote two offers, and I was outbid. But, when the listing for my “new” home came up, I just knew that there had been a cosmic reason for losing the other properties. I was in love, and I wanted this property more than anything else. Since I was fully pre-approved, this Seller decided to take my offer without waiting for another buyer who was circling. We saw the residence the day after it came on the market. By the next day, she had already submitted my offer and put just enough pressure so that it was accepted on the spot. By the time we requested a credit from the Sellers thirteen days later, the appraisal report and the loan were already approved and so, we had a bit more leverage with our credit request.
